1 Marrakech — High Atlas — Aït Ben Haddou — Ouarzazate

Your driver meets you at your hotel or the airport in Marrakech. We set off early, crossing the Tizi n'Tichka pass at 2,260 metres through the High Atlas Mountains. After photo stops at panoramic viewpoints, we visit the UNESCO kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou with a local guide, then continue to Ouarzazate — known as the "Hollywood of Morocco" — for dinner and overnight.

2 Ouarzazate — Dades Valley — Todra Gorge

After breakfast we drive through the Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley, famous for its dramatic rock formations and kasbahs. We continue to the Todra Gorge where you can walk between the 300-metre canyon walls — a favourite spot for climbers. Overnight near the gorge with dinner and breakfast.

3 Todra Gorge — Erfoud — Merzouga — Camel Trek — Desert Camp

Today we reach the Sahara. After breakfast we drive through Tinejdad and Erfoud, known for its fossils and date palms. Arriving in Merzouga in the late afternoon, you meet your camel caravan for a sunset trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes — the highest sand dunes in Morocco. Dinner and overnight at your desert camp under the stars.

4 Merzouga Sunrise — Ziz Valley — Midelt

Wake early for the spectacular sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at camp and your camel ride back, we drive north through the Ziz Valley with its lush palm oases and dramatic gorges. We pass through Errachidia and the Tizi n'Talremt pass before reaching Midelt, a quiet mountain town where we spend the night.

5 Midelt — Azrou Cedar Forest — Ifrane — Fes

On our final day we drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping at the cedar forests near Azrou where Barbary macaque monkeys live in the wild. We pass through Ifrane — known as "Little Switzerland" for its alpine architecture — before descending into Fes. Drop-off at your hotel or riad in the Fes medina.

Transport Details

Your tour uses a private, air-conditioned 4x4 vehicle (Toyota Land Cruiser or similar) or a comfortable minivan for larger groups. The vehicle is exclusively for your group throughout the 5 days.

Our drivers are experienced on mountain and desert roads, speak English and French, and know the best stops, photo points, and local restaurants along the entire route from Marrakech to Fes.

Accommodation Details

Nights 1 and 2 are in comfortable hotels in Ouarzazate and Todra Gorge with private rooms, Wi-Fi, and restaurant facilities. Night 3 is at our Sahara desert camp in Erg Chebbi with private tents and shared bathroom facilities. Night 4 is in a hotel in Midelt in the Middle Atlas.

Pickup & Drop-off

We pick you up from your hotel, riad, or Marrakech Menara Airport on Day 1. At the end of the tour on Day 5, we drop you at your preferred location in Fes — whether a hotel, riad, or Fes-Saïss Airport. Timing is flexible to match your travel schedule.

Booking & Cancellation

A deposit (typically 20-30%) is required to confirm your dates. The balance can be paid on arrival in cash (MAD, EUR, or USD), or by bank transfer / Wise / PayPal before the tour.

Free cancellation up to 14 days before departure with full deposit refund. Between 7-14 days, the deposit is held as credit for a future trip. Under 7 days, the deposit is non-refundable.

Day 1 is about 4-5 hours. Day 2 is roughly 3-4 hours. Day 3 is 4-5 hours to Merzouga plus the camel trek. Day 4 is about 5-6 hours to Midelt. Day 5 is roughly 4 hours to Fes. We break up the driving with regular photo stops, visits, and lunch breaks.
Of course. We can add an extra night in the desert for a more relaxed pace, or an extra day in Fes with a guided medina tour. We can also extend the tour to Chefchaouen or Rabat. Just ask and we will adjust the itinerary.
